Idea of Installation:

A 40 year calendar with the name of every place the artist has been on each and every day. This includes places in over 55 countries on 6 continents. The installation will dramatically demonstrate to the observer the role that places play in our lives.

Effect of Installation:

Without judgement or comment this installation presents issues such as:
-The length of time we spend in places and the possible change in attachment and familiarity we have with places.
-Millions of us travel to more places then most human beings have in all of history.
-Almost every observer will be able to find several places on the calendar that they themselves have visited emphasising that commonality we all have and a "6 degrees of separation effect".
-Places have an effect on us much the same way that other people do. This installation will help the observer to think about the places in their lives and come to a new understanding of the pattern of their existence in relation to the places that they inhabit.

Look of Installation:

An example of this installation is on the bottom of this page and will be billboard size along with maps and photos. It will be displayed in a large venue in a major city with easy access.

Cost of Sponsorship:

Sole sponsorship in one city (eg. London or New York) $10,000
Simultaneous installations in several cities (eg. London, New York AND Hong Kong) $30,000
Partial sponsorship minimum $2,000
